The Real Estate Commission (FREC) administers and enforces the real estate license law, Chapter 475, Part I, Florida Statutes. The Commission is also empowered to pass rules that enable it to implement its statutorily authorized duties and responsibilities.

DBPR will notify you when your license is due for renewal. In the future, all notices will be provided via email. We encourage you to keep your information up to date and renew online.  DBPR online services offer a quick and easy way to renew your business license, find license requirements, apply for a license and update a license.

Applicants can use any Livescan vendor that has been approved by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to submit their fingerprints to the department. Please ensure that the Originating Agency Identification (ORI) number is provided to the vendor when you submit your fingerprints.
NOTE: Failure to provide an ORI number or incorrect ORI number to the vendor will prevent DBPR from receiving your fingerprint results.

The applicant is fully responsible for selecting the vendor and ensuring submission of the prints to the department. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) requires the submission of a full set of fingerprints with most licensure applications.

DBPR offers examinations for the following professions in a computer-based testing (CBT) format. Candidates who have been approved to sit for one of the following examinations may do so by contacting the department’s examination vendor, Pearson VUE. Examinations are available on a daily basis at testing sites throughout the world.
